Conservative pressure on Vaccine timing.

 The Conservative Governments across the country are pushing the Federal Government for answers that just are not available. It’s called harassments!

First off the Vaccinations are using our RNA, something that has never been done before. Because this is a new technology, new plants had to be built to manufacture. The old established plant’s, designed to mass-produce dead viruses can’t be used.

How far along are these new facilities?

The RNA is in every cell in our body. It is primitive and, its job is to repair our DNA. It’s also referred to as the messenger bit.

Now we have a brand new technology the US under incredible pressure wants to run it out early. The whole science community is watching this to see if something backfires or not. Or does our RNA treat our bodies more differently than the short tests indicate?

I for one am very happy the initial inoculations are starting down south and further I hope we don’t hurry before mutations on this new technology work its way through the first populations. 

On the other hand, some companies are going with our present technology, that of killing the virus and injecting us with the dead virus so our immune systems can build up a response.  When the time comes, you will have to know what type you received so you can get the proper follow-up dose.

Meanwhile, just ignore the Conservatives empty complaints.

The search for the Virus and PPE

The notion that one country should horde anything in a Pandemic is insane! It is the same b.s. that happens with people fleeing their countries because of war and many saying they need to stay home.  One of the reasons stock was sent to China was because the best before date was coming up very fast and Canada had stock in the hospitals but not that much in cases. Other countries did the same, and that was because they wanted the virus eliminated at the source, not wait and see what happens. The virus spread quickly and Science was trying to get a handle on it not entirely trusting what China was saying. Asian countries that had experience SARS went into action asap, like South Korea.  In Europe Germany got on it with suppression and testing, while countries like Italy seemed to be going to wait it out until they found out how bad that was. Meanwhile, Canada was looking for supplies and down south was buying up everything they could get their hands on including interfering in shipments to our country.  Companies came forward and said they could produce and the Gov't listened and got a dollar amount together to support those companies selected to make different kinds of masks, ventilators, hand sanitizer, and they put money behind research for a cure. Once ramped up supplies were moving across the country and more and more lab-confirmed information was coming about the virus.  Seems pretty easy to sit back and quarterback, but it is a waste of money and time if you run to put what you think is a fire because there is smoke only to find out there is no fire.  Canada is a large, vast, country and we have witnessed how great we are when an unknown enemy, the virus, attacks. Now just wait and see what we can do when we know the enemy!

Conservative and COVID 19

This virus is a match made for our RNA, the single strand like DNA. I t is my understanding this RNA is pretty much the same in all species! We have it crossing species in the Bronx Zoo. Two of their big cats have contracted it. It has been transmitted to House Cats. What next? It is manifesting itself in COVID Toes. An ugly looking mess growing inside your feet.

 It is manifesting itself into blood clots that cover the skin and the major organs. Even the palms of your hands and soles of your feet, covered in blood blisters! Science is a long way of finding a vaccination for this thing! It is on any scale horrendous. As far as immunity goes, it is not known if you can reinfect or not. Quite probably you will use your immunization to become a carrier. Bats have been found to carry up to 5 COVID viruses very similar to COVID 19.

The Conservative movement is made up of Fundamentalist Christians. This is where you Anit-Vax movement comes from too. These same people are pushing for herd immunization even though, there is no proof that will fix anything! The Conservatives are worse than a Virus!

There is going to be no quick cure for this and thousands more are going to die from it! Scheer same as usual is critical of the Government but offers not a thing by way of doing something different.

Something to consider...
There are a variety of discussions and tweets online about seniors and Covid-19. Some of them, too many, expose what one tweet describes as "our built-in callousness toward the elderly". While some groups are forming to offer those who are in self-isolation the support they may need, others are discussing how it may save money and resources if nature were allowed to take its course. Some are joking. Some are dismissive.

How is it that on one hand, we know that many people work until 65, some work beyond, and are deemed active, experienced, knowledgeable and a resource, and then, a short five years later are deemed expendable? Has the fact that governments are asking seniors to consider working past 65 because they are needed in some jobs ever entered the minds of some?

How does a person adjust to the fact that one day, at 64 years and 364 days they are an asset, and one day later they are not? Add five more years, and some are still in the workforce, most not, but most still active, vital, engaged in their communities, fully in control of their faculties, and with a world of experience to share, but are suddenly deemed somehow not of worth? They spend, they pay taxes, they travel, they visit, they offer endless hours of voluntary work, they are fully functioning persons who worked, and suddenly, are not worthy? How is this possible? Some may have health issues. Many will not, or their issues are fully controllable. They may have another ten, fifteen or twenty years, some more, to live life as fully as they want, or can.

Society has shifted to a youth focus. Attitudes change due in large part to marketing, and advertising pushing a variety of biases. To become dismissive of an entire generation and more, because of life taking its normal course, well that deserves some thought and societal self-reflection.

How does one move from seeing someone as fully human and functioning, a contributing member of society, to being something other, and disposable? They aren't different because their days of being in the workforce are over. They aren't a burden. They are a source of knowledge, and strength brought to them by their years of life. Just as one would hope that all lives are valuable, cared about, one could hope that the collective callousness is a passing faux-pas, a slip, a lapse of thought and judgement, to be dismissed from acceptable social behaviour. People are more than workers. Has that lesson been lost?

Covid 19 Viruses- special note.

The coronavirus is in no way similar to H1N1 !  It is an entirely different beastie!   As such it will take a year, perhaps 2 years to produce a vaccine for it!  There is no cure in sight, only your own immune system with your personal limitations.  We have never seen anything like this before!

Covid19 is contracted by direct contact, not airborne!

Wash your hands, don't touch your face with your hands!  Avoid crowds.
